Role: Head of Managed Services

Salary: £230-280k base + Bonus/Benefits

Location: Remote UK

 

Ingenio is delighted to again be partnered with an industry leader in the managed service space that is about a £200 million turnover. They are an accredited Microsoft partner that focuses on transformative technology. We are hiring a senior leader in the business to come in and help transform their Managed Service proposition as the business continues to grow and expand across the UK.

 

For this role you MUST come be highly experienced in the services space. You must have worked for mid to large Global Systems Integrator, or Microsoft/AWS running Managed Services (Support/Customers/Product) and own the P&L for that part of the business

 

Role:

  • Development of Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud solutions in conjunction with our Cloud Practice, Business Units, and Partners
  • Identification of new market trends, opportunities for growth and partnership, particularly in regard to developing:
  • Hybrid infrastructure delivery and management
  • Working closely with our Client Partner and Sector teams to deliver professional, strategic, and solutions-oriented proposals to our clients, including statement of work development, estimating, and high-level solution development.
  • Lead technical discussions with senior executives that drive decisions and implementation.
  • Work with our Client Partners, Service Delivery Teams and Clients to ensure on-going high standards of service to our clients
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience through formal and informal knowledge management initiatives.
  • Help identify skills gaps and recruit new team members
  • Manage the team to deliver against SLA’s and KPI’s and proactively manage vendors and 3rd parties
  • Development of end-to-end Managed Services solutions and pricing in conjunction with other Practice Leads

 

What you'll need:

  • Direct and matrix team management experience – including strategy, planning, motivation, and coaching for team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working in a multi-vendor environment is extremely desirable
  • Must be an excellent team player
  • Highly committed, motivated and a self-starter – must be able to give himself/herself directions rather than waiting for a steer from above
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of technically experienced resources – must be able to demonstrate experience with managing conflicts and disagreements at the workplace
  • Understanding of Infrastructure, Networking and Cloud services and delivery practices, including but not limited to (ideally within a Managed Services supplier environment)
  • Any of Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms
