Client Director – Role Overview
Nearform is seeing strong momentum across Ireland in sales, demand generation and delivery. Ireland is a strategic growth market, with the UK also relevant where appropriate.
This hire is required to add senior commercial capacity and help scale strategic enterprise accounts. The successful candidate will operate with a “mini CEO” mindset — owning, growing and expanding a portfolio of high-value clients. This is not a high-volume sales role. The focus is on developing 3–4 strategic enterprise accounts capable of generating a $10m+ portfolio over time.
Indicative year-one target: $5m revenue & Blend of existing account expansion and new logo acquisition

Priority Markets & Sectors:
Primary: Ireland. Secondary: UK
Target sectors: Financial services, Healthcare, Manufacturing / industrial & Regulated enterprise organisations
Ideal clients are businesses undergoing digital transformation, platform modernisation or AI adoption.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
1.Enterprise Consulting / Technology Sales Background
Candidates must have a proven track record selling:
- Technology consulting
- Digital transformation
- Product engineering
- Software engineering services
- Cloud, AI or data solutions
This is not suited to SaaS-only or transactional sales profiles.
Key experience required:
- Multi-million revenue ownership
- Complex enterprise deal cycles
- Strategic account management
- Senior stakeholder engagement
- High-value consulting sales
2. Hunter + Farmer Capability: Nearform requires someone capable of building strategic revenue streams, not simply closing isolated deals.
The ideal profile combines:
- New logo acquisition
- Existing account expansion
- Long-term portfolio growth
3. Executive-Level Credibility: Candidates must be credible engaging with CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Engineering & Transformation leaders.
The successful individual should be consultative, commercially mature and comfortable discussing:
- AI adoption
- Platform modernisation
- Engineering efficiency
- Business outcomes
4. Commercial Ownership Mindset: A strong “mini CEO” mentality is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Portfolio ownership
- Pipeline management
- Forecasting capability
- Strategic account planning
- Ability to operate autonomously in a lean environment
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
The Client Director will work closely across: Sales, Technical delivery & Solutions.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capability is critical.
6. Client-Facing Presence
While remote-first, the ideal candidate should:
- Be Dublin-based or within commuting distance
- Be comfortable spending significant time with clients
- Thrive in relationship-led enterprise environments
Nice-to-Have Attributes
Preferred candidates may also bring:
- Strong Ireland enterprise network
- Existing relationships in financial services, healthcare or manufacturing
- Experience selling AI-led consulting services
- Background in regulated industries
- Experience within high-growth or entrepreneurial consulting businesses
- Exposure to managing €3m–€10m+ strategic accounts
Compensation
Base salary: €150k range
Commission:
- 6% new logos
- 4% account expansion
- 2% renewals
Significant earning potential exists for high performers.
