Position: Devops Engineer

Role: Hybrid/ Bristol or Edinburgh

Salary: £75,000

Ingenio are currently partnered with a world-renowned digital learning provider based in the UK, designing and delivering training solutions for global brands across multiple sectors and industries.

Our client is looking for a Devops Engineer who will collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners and scrum masters across different teams, ensuring DevOps ideology and best practices are followed and implemented.

Responsibilities:

-Working within a dedicated team of DevOps and Test Automation Engineers

-Being responsible for managing codifying, and evolving the cloud infrastructure on which the client run tech stack, supporting the product teams with building CI/CD pipelines that enable software to move through its lifecycle effectively and quickly, and ensuring resilience, security and scalability are at the core of everything has been build.

-Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners and scrum masters across different teams, ensuring DevOps ideology and best practices are followed and implemented.

Mandatory requirements:

1) Living in Bristol or Edinburgh

2) Good knowledge in Cloud providers and services (AWS, GCP)

3) Building and packaging web applications in containers (Docker)

4) Container orchestration tools (Kubernetes)

6) Scripting in Python/Bash to automate processes

7) Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK)

9) CI/CD processes and tools (Github Actions etc)

10) Database technologies/administration (PostgreSQL)

11) Monitoring and Alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana etc)

Nice to have

-Experience with serverless compute systems (AWS Lambda)

-Knowledge of automated testing processes (End-to-end, load testing)

-An understanding of compliance/audit frameworks (SOC2, ISO-27001)

-Hands on experience with PHP and CMS frameworks (CraftCMS)
