Title - Telecommunication Support Engineer (Avaya)
Type - Contract 6 month rolling (12 - 18 months)
Location - Blanchardstown
Daily Rate - €350-450 PD
Target Start Date - Immediate

We’re working with a multinational client who is growing their EU telecoms team to handle the increasing number of remote workers and agents. They’re looking for a telecom pro to join them with immediate effect.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience providing Level 2 and 3 support for Avaya telephony systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of troubleshooting, helpdesk tools, and ticketing systems.
  • Expertise with Avaya PBX systems (admin, troubleshooting, and adds/moves/changes).
  • A solid grasp of VOIP, SIP, QoS, and telephony principles.
  • Familiarity with IP networks, servers, VMs, and documentation tools.
  • Great communication skills—whether in person or remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and support Avaya telecom systems across a global network.
  • Provide support for end users, including Elite Agents and UC clients (e.g., Avaya Agent for Desktop).
  • Handle software updates, installations, and maintenance (think patches, certificates, and logs).
  • Assist with major system upgrades and projects beyond basic tasks like moves/adds/changes.

Tech Stack You Should Know

  • Avaya Aura Suite (Communication Manager, Session/System Managers).
  • Avaya Session Border Controllers (PSTN, internet, and internal/external networks).
  • Avaya Gateways, Media Servers, and UC clients like One-X Devices.
  • Telco SIP trunks and related telephony services.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Avaya AES and CTI messaging.
  • Call recording systems (e.g., NICE or WFO).
  • Avaya CMS administration and Experience Portal IVR.
  • Monitoring tools like Avaya SAL, Nectar Monitoring, or ThousandEyes.
  • SIP troubleshooting and networking expertise.
  • Genesys knowledge and familiarity with remote work technologies.
