Title - Technical Support Engineer - Contract (Field-Based)

Contract Duration - 6 months

Day Rate - Up to €500 per day & company car/van

Location - Leinster-based, nationwide coverage

Target start date – 1st of November

 

Ingenio is delighted to be working with one of Ireland's leading Managed Services businesses. They have an immediate requirement for a Network Engineer, who will own responsibility for providing proactive & reactive Tier 3 support for medium to large customers across networking, routing & switching infrastructure.

 

Our client is looking for an experienced contract Engineer with a minimum of five years experience working with multiple clients better to come from a Systems Integrator, Managed Service or Reseller business experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Onsite customer and off-site MIT support
  • Customer facing role
  • Server hardware and network design and implementation
  • Supporting Office 365 environments
  • Implementing 365 email migrations
  • Implementation of Microsoft Teams
  • Building and administration of Microsoft SharePoint sites
  • Active Directory design, implementation and administration
  • Switching, Firewall and Router Support, Watchguard, Fortinet or Palo Alto
  • Analyse and resolve faults - from major system crashes to resetting passwords
  • Work closely with other IT staff, engineers, and customers
  • Actively troubleshoot 3rd level escalations
  • Role will involve onsite customer break fix and proactive scheduled customer site visits
  • Skilled Networking engineering, this role will require the ability to troubleshoot internal networks and identify issues. VLANS / VPN / switching etc.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in a Systems Integrator, Managed Service or Reseller business.
  • Experience in networking, routing & switching infrastructure
  • Office 365, Azure, Sharepoint & networking infrastructure
  • Experience in T2/T3 support
  • Driving licence
  • Willing to be on client site between 2-3 days per week.
